Sabudana Khichdi (Spicy Tapioca)

I got engaged on my final year of College, and a few months of chitchatting with my hubby , A Big Fat South Indian Wedding and then I was packed and sent to pune with my husband . Pune was second largest city in state of Maharashtra after Mumbai . I loved everything there which includes amazing sweet and spicy kachhi Dabeli's,Dhokla,Bhakarwadi,Sabudana khichdi, spicy momos ,Loni dosas ,Puran poli's ,Khanda Poha,Tawa pulao ...many more recipes to say. Apart from food, Sight seeing was my all time favorite. We went to almost anywhere by bike. I still remember we drove to lavasa in bike .

Pune is my dream city , a place where i would to settle for the rest of my life. Those days I never used to cook, Kitchen was just like a showcase at our place. My maid used to cook for me all time . Aww those were golden days in my life .There was a shiva temple just back of our house. During Maha Shivarathri, Maharashtrian women fast the whole day and all they eat is sabudana khichdi .

A very flavorful dish made with pure ghee and peanuts . Some people do not add salt and lemon also ,instead they use black salt for this recipe . I had this one whole day while I was fasting that day , I loved it . Later after an yr and half, My friend priyanka made this for me . It was the best I ever had . I immediately asked her the recipe and tried it and it came out so horrible. Later I asked how to soak the tapioca and make this dish .Now We are so far from each other ,But I try her recipes and remember her foods :)
