Ginger Garlic Paste , a very important ingredient for making flavorful Indian curries. I Always buy them at nearby indian grocery stores until I had a bad experience with a store bought ginger garlic paste . It totally spoiled my curry and disappointed me . My husband suggested me to prepare the paste at home itself. First I felt lazy , Later he helped me in peeling the ginger and garlic and we attempted to make the paste. It came out so well and then we stopped buying them . Its so fresh and can be used for months if handled well .Never use wet spoons or hands to stir the paste .I added turmeric powder and oil cause they act as preservatives and doesn't get spoiled so soon. Here goes the recipe :
Homemade Ginger Garlic paste
Ingredients
- 3 Cups of washed, peeled and chopped ginger
- 3 Cups of washed, peeled and chopped garlic
- 1-2 Tsp. of Turmeric powder
- 1-2 Tsp. of oil
